Ogden Trust Physics Summer School

Wednesday 12 July to Friday 14 July 2017

Leeds University is to host the sixth Ogden Physics summer school from Wednesday 12th July to Friday 14th July 2017.

The course is open to:

  • Year 12 students who are studying Physics and Maths at A2 level
  • Students with the potential of achieving an A*, A or B at A level
  • Students from schools/colleges in Yorkshire and Lancashire.

Some of the activities planned include:

  • Intensive tuition by teachers with many years’ experience of working with G&T students
  • Guest lectures given by university lecturers
  • Practical sessions
  • A day working alongside a research group within the School of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Leeds

The content of the course is purposefully demanding, (but hopefully also rewarding), as it is intended for students with the potential of achieving an A*, A or B at A2 level. The cost of the course is only £30 and will contribute towards the costs for lunch and refreshments.

If you are interested in attending the course, please speak to your physics teacher or form teacher who will need to contact Dr Devinder Gill through the email below to confirm that you fulfil the eligibility criteria outlined above.
